Pour-over Will:

A pour-over will is a last will and testament that protects any assets that are not transferred to or included in your living trust.  Without a pour-over will, any assets that aren’t trust assets will be treated as if you died “intestate”.  This can result in those assets being passed down to heirs by what the law says as opposed to what your wishes are.  The pour-over will is a safety net to ensure that your personal assets (assets not titled to the trust) pass down to your intended beneficiaries.
